Friendly Events / Competitions

Whether in a competition or not please remember
i
n addition to the basic golf etiquette regarding care of the course, all
players are asked to observe the following points:

1. In the interest of all, players should play without delay.
2. No players should play until those in front are out of range.
3. Players searching for a ball should signal the players behind
them to pass as soon as it becomes apparent that the ball will
not easily be found. They should not continue to play until the
players following them have passed and are out of range.
4. When the play of the hole has been completed, players
should immediately leave the putting green.
5. Pace of play is three or four ball (please note at peak times
two balls or singles matches may be asked to join up).
6. A single player has no standing and should give way to a
match of any kind.
7. If a match fails to keep its place on the course and loses
more than one clear hole on the players in front, it should
allow the match following to pass.
8. Course Marshals have absolute authority to ensure that the
above rules are adhered to.
9. In competitions please return your scorecard as a courtesy
to your fellow competitors.
10. Not turning up at your booked 'Tee Time' is not acceptable.
You should be there 10 minutes before you are due to tee off.
If you are not there 5 minutes before you may lose your time.
If you do have a genuine problem please notify the PRO SHOP
on 01322 836080 as soon as possible.
