How to obtain a Men’s Golf
Handicap
Cards for three rounds of golf must be submitted to the Men’s
Handicap Committee (by placing them in the box in the Spikes Bar,
each card marked ‘FOR HANDICAP’) One of the rounds MUST be
played with either a Division 1 player (handicap 10 or less) or a
committee member. You will then be issued with a provisional
handicap in the handicap book. This entitles you to compete in Club
medal and stableford competitions. Cards from FOUR such
competitions MUST be submitted before you are eligible to compete
in ‘Major’ competitions.
3 Qualifying cards MUST be returned for handicap review/update in order to be eligible to
play in any organised competition run under the CONGU rules this is
ALL Open's mixed or otherwise, Invitation Days even some Friendlies
All players marked in the book with an "i" after their handicap are inactive
